Samsung is expected to launch its next generation of smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, later this year. Ahead of the official announcement, prices for the two devices have leaked online.
According to a report by GSMArena, the Galaxy Watch 6 will start at $249 for the 40mm model and $299 for the 44mm model. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will start at $349 for the 42mm model and $399 for the 46mm model.
The prices are in line with previous leaks, which have suggested that the Galaxy Watch 6 will be more affordable than its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 5. The Galaxy Watch 5 started at $249 for the 40mm model and $299 for the 44mm model.
Galaxy Watch 6 is expected to come with a number of new features, including a new design, a new health sensor, and a new operating system. The new design is rumored to be inspired by the Galaxy Watch Active 2, with a more minimalist look. The new health sensor is rumored to be a BioActive sensor that can measure heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and body composition. The new operating system is rumored to be based on Wear OS 3.
Samsung is expected to officially announce the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic at its Unpacked event on August 10th.
In addition to the prices, the report also revealed some of the specifications of the Galaxy Watch 6. The 40mm model will have a 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 396 x 396 pixels. The 44mm model will have a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 450 x 450 pixels. Both models will be powered by the Exynos W920 processor and will have 1.5GB of RAM. The 40mm model will have 32GB of storage, while the 44mm model will have 16GB of storage.
Galaxy Watch 6 will be available in four colors: black, silver, gold, and blue. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be available in three colors: black, silver, and gold. The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be available for purchase starting August 27th.
