iQoo is reportedly working on the iQoo 12 series, which is expected to be launched in Q4 2023. The series is said to consist of two models – the iQoo 12 and the iQoo 12 Pro.
According to a recent leak, the iQoo 12 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is also said to have a 50-megapixel triple rear camera system and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
The iQoo 12 Pro, on the other hand, is said to be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, but with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It is also said to have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 200W fast charging support. The phone’s triple rear camera system is said to be 50-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 50-megapixel, while the front-facing camera is said to be 16-megapixel.
Both phones are expected to run Android 14-based Origin OS out of the box.
The iQoo 12 series is expected to be launched in India first, followed by other markets. The pricing of the phones is not yet known.
In addition to the specifications mentioned above, the iQoo 12 series is also rumored to have a number of other features. These include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C 3. x port, and a stereo speaker system.
The iQoo 12 series is expected to be a major upgrade over the iQoo 11 series, which was launched in India earlier this year. The iQoo 11 series was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It had a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone’s triple rear camera system was 50-megapixel + 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel, while the front-facing camera was 16-megapixel.
The iQoo 12 series is expected to be a strong competitor to other high-end smartphones in the market, such as the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and the OnePlus 10 Pro. It will be interesting to see how the iQoo 12 series performs when it is launched later this year.
