Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is just around the corner, and rumors are swirling about what new products the company might announce. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to unveil a new 15-inch MacBook Air, as well as new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.
New 15-inch MacBook Air is expected to be a larger version of the current 13-inch model, with a similar design and features. It will reportedly be powered by the new M2 Pro chip, which is said to offer a significant performance boost over the M1 chip. The new MacBook Air is also expected to have a mini-LED display, like the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.
In addition to the new MacBook Air, Gurman also expects Apple to announce new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. The M2 Pro chip is said to have 10 CPU cores and up to 32 GPU cores, while the M2 Max chip is said to have 12 CPU cores and up to 64 GPU cores. These new chips are expected to be used in a new MacBook Pro model, as well as a new iMac Pro model.
Gurman also expects Apple to announce new software updates at WWDC, including iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS Ventura, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16. These new software updates are expected to include new features and improvements, as well as support for new hardware.
